DAWNING

This week I worked up until the break of dawn carefully crafting evening gowns for my SS17 collection. We photographed our line in studio this weekend with my editorial team. I styled this collection with a fresh perspective, hoping to inspire my clients to shop my new spring line and our classic styles. Still, we have several photoshoots planned and rescheduling due to the rain. I always say everything happens for a reason, but hard to believe the rainfall affects my plans so often. Last week I left off on a note of hope and optimism, feeling half glass full again – but best laid plans don’t always work out. This week I’m reimagining the world of Alyssa Nicole with a slice of pizza in hand & glass of pinot as the rain pours down outside my San Francisco apartment. Daydreaming of a night where I wasn’t stuck inside designing, dreaming of my hand held at nightfall in a silk chiffon gown & staying up to watch the twilight sunrise just before dawn. Can you imagine a world where the stars all seemingly aligned – that’s really all I want for SS17 – to feel loved and feel lovely in a soft feminine spring dress. I can’t wait for the warm summer air and picnicking at the beach. New collection coming soon, xo Alyssa Nicole
