SUMMER IN SAN FRANCISCO

Summer in San Francisco has been cold and foggy, but I’ve been lucky to spend lots of time in Marin this summer. Over my birthday weekend – I ventured out to Stinson Beach and I can’t even believe I haven’t spent more time in Marin County. So Dexter and I drove back out to Stinson a few weeks ago for a day at the beach. Dexter, who happens to be one of my favorite cinematographers, has worked on a number of fashion films for Alyssa Nicole. Sad to say that we didn’t collaborate on Alyssa Nicole FW16 Collection – but I still managed to get him to photograph a few of my favorite Banana Republic pieces for my blog! The drive out to Stinson Beach is so beautiful and scenic – we saw a few coyotes roaming around the highway on our drive over.

Our Saturday trip to Stinson Beach wasn’t as warm and sunny as my previous beach day in Marin, it was your typical bay area summer day with a bit of wind and of course lots of clouds. Still, I was happy to be near the water and really enjoyed our drive over listening to Rihanna’s Anti album and listening to Dexter’s advice for improving my love life (Although I don’t tend to take advice on these matters).

Cardigans are one of my closet staples and living in San Francisco has contributed to my growing cardigan collection. This soft grey cardi from Banana Republic is casual chic paired with the Audrey Dress from my SS16 Collection. I love anything with a bow, and my Banana Republic bowtie blouse is so sweet – I’ve been wearing it with my wool aline skirt and flared jeans for a romantic 70s vibe. These lightweight Banana Republic pieces are perfect for my evolving wardrobe – they are the perfect pairs for my ethereal aesthetic.
