On a warm Central California afternoon, I finally found myself the courage to face my fear of heights at the Bixby Bridge. I’ve been dying to visit Big Sur ever since reading the novel by Jack Kerouac. I obsessed over the beautiful scenery captured in the film adaptation of Big Sur directed by Michael Polish. After taking in the view at Bixby Bridge we hiked alongside Big Sur River towards the Pacific Coast. Feeling really adventurous after our hike, we jumped into the river (it was freezing cold!). We listened to The Cure on our sunset drive back to Monterey. I’m so glad I’ve had the chance to enjoy all the beauty California has to offer before working on my FW16 collection, I hope to visit Big Sur again soon! xo Alyssa Nicole
