Last week I released the new lookbook & fashion film for Alyssa Nicole Spring 2015 in my shop! I was so pleased to see that my clients loved the new collection and lookbook! One of my favorite local San Francisco Magazines 7×7 published a lovely article on my new collection
“Meet the SF Designer on the Speed Dials of Indie Brides and Festival Girls” – in which they referred to my collection as a “frothy confection full of floaty hemlines and light, sunlit hues that conjure up buttercream frosting on the world’s most flowery cake.”
After releasing my new line and shipping out orders for the week – I celebrated the release of my new line by attending a performance at the San Francisco Ballet. I was excited to discover that one of the performances was entitled “Hummingbird” – I just had to see it as my nickname is ‘Bird’ short for hummingbird and when I started my line in 2009 my logo was a little hummingbird. Hummingbird, my favorite piece of the night, was literally a masterpiece. Not only were the dancers amazing – but the set was so innovative and the costume was flawless in shades of grey. The performance literally took me away into another world. The SF Ballet was perfection and I finally was able to see my talented friend Jordan perform.
I’m pairing my ultra-feminine Silk Bell Sleeve Dress from Alyssa Nicole SS15 with my closet staple Freda Salvador Heels to create an effortless ladylike look. Neutral shades of sand and nude create an airy lightness to welcome in the spring season. If you haven’t already, stop by my shop to see my “Unreflected” lookbook for Spring 2015!
