ALYSSA NICOLE FALL 2014 LOOKBOOK

Shooting a lookbook is at the top list of my priorities every season. My lookbooks are the most important part of finalizing the collection because it’s how I present my vision for the season. I had created a mood board with ethereal photographs, abstract paintings, and starlight all in shades of moody blues which translated into the color palette for the line.

We set out to portray ‘coldness’ in our lookbook and the cold stone and marble at the Legion of Honor in San Francisco was a perfect location to shoot my collection. We felt the stone columns would add a regal touch to the kimono and bell sleeve evening gowns I designed for the collection. If you’ve seen our short fashion film, you know there are two parts to our story so we incorporated two separate locations for our photo shoot. We photographed the second part of our lookbook in the Presidio at Andy Goldsworthy’s Spire & Woodline. “Still Cold” is our refusal to be jaded by the world. “The night is cold, but the stars still light my way.”
